Records Fall In Wessington Meet

In three final events at the Wessington high school invitation track meet, Faulkton ace Bentsen set a shot put mark of 42 feet 4 inches and topped a 11 feet 7 inch pole vault. Rattner of Wessington broke the high hurdles record with 16.5 seconds, while others from Miller, Kimball, Faulkton and Huron posted marks over 40 feet. Defense Scores In Foster Trial

In circuit court Sioux Falls April 29 the defense led by one of Mrs. Foster's lawyers gained the edge in the John Morrell Foster divorce case. The first witness for the plaintiff had testified, and Mrs. Foster is expected to take stand early next week. Rebuttal testimony questioned alleged intimidation of two witnesses, Hazel Peterson of Minneapolis and Olaf Erickson, a former houseman and chauffeur, with claims they were offered veiled threats to deter testimony. the defense labeled these charges false.
