Secrets Of A New Planet Revealed In Tucson Speech
In Tucson Arizona on April 25 delegates to the eleventh annual convention of the Southwestern section of the American Association for the Advancement of Science heard Dr. E B Slipher discuss a trans Neptune body now heralded as the ninth planet. The body estimated to be earth sized is said to lie about 41 astronomical units from Earth. Dr Slipher and the Lowell Observatory figures tie to Percival Lowell's will and long range study of the object. Further details outline the planet's distance and its smaller than first believed mass.

Most Distant Object Yet Seen In Our Solar System
The article notes a planetary object far beyond known comets or asteroids, with an elongated orbit and an inclined plane relative to major planets. Estimates place its diameter around twenty three units and its distance implies a view time of about a century, with a total visibility span near three thousand years. Astronomers Dre Slipher references recent scientific papers and emphasizes this object is distinctly planetary, not a fragment of a comet or asteroid, marking it as the farthest observed in our solar system.
