Bonilla Pupils Present Concert
Bonilla April 20 Bonilla Consolidated school pupils presented a concert in the Community Hall Tuesday evening. About 10 students from the first three grades sang with Miss Doris Deik Holm at the piano. Higher graders were accompanied by Miss Kuehl for two numbers by the boy and girl glee clubs and a clarinet duet by Cleo Kenison and Eva Baptist. Highlights included a flute solo by Ardels May Lahren with Arlene Lahren at the piano and a baritone solo by Jengison of Hitchcock with Mrs Eva Domy accompanying. The band under Eric Jungemann performed selections for the district contest, its first entry this year. Band personnel included Elwood Peterson, Boab Bales, Clinton Fuurick, Ward Schuetzer, Robert Crawford, Joyce Hamilton, Harlan Meyer, Leland Palmer, Cveralding McKichan, Raymond Morse, Ardella May Lahren, Harold Brown, Evie Baptist, Eleanor Atkinson, Cleo Kenison, Allene Lahren, Lorraine McKichan, Gloria Phillips, Stanley McKichan, and Barrel Boyd. The saxet band numbers showed progress.

Owner's hard luck of hogs poisoned case settles
Aberdeen April 20 Municipal Judge George W. Crane denied Everett Fluke Bath farmer his $25 claim for a hog death from poisoned corn on Seth M. Holmes land. The judge noted warnings were posted and Holmes had warned of poison bait for jackrabbits. The decision follows an April 3 trial.

Torkelsons entertain at dinner party
Frankfort April 20. Mr and Mrs Tara Torkelson entertained members of Bobbie Lau's orchestra and their families from Ashton Wilma Wells and Mr and Mrs Chester Seaman and their families of Do Junction and Sunday evening. The occasion was the 21st birthday of their son Herschel Supper I was served and the evening was spent socially. Herschel received many useful gifts.
