Gettysburg April 9 Special Herry Piner deputy state warden of Pisrre calls on Potter county hunters to aid the state name and Fish department in protecting pheasants after thousands were killed during the 1928 open season. He cites early burning to save nests and hatch, guides on keeping dogs chained, destroying stray house cats, and using 410 gauge shotguns and 22 rifles to help. the department has spent sportsmen money to introduce pheasants and the public is urged to support protection efforts.
