Walsh, a talk by Mrs. E. H. Bryan on PTA objectives, introductions by Frank Dwyer, a magician act by Blake Patton and Dr C K Walker, and piano duets by Mr and Mrs FE Sewell. Prizes honored traveling distance, recent marriage, long marriage, and largest family. DeBush family noted with ten children. Supper was served by the Sheffield PTA. Walsh praised the meal as one of the finest.

Ethan Jenkins a 29 year old farm hand from near Virgil died from an accidental discharge of a 12 gauge hammerless shotgun borrowed from S. H. Taylor. Coroner John P. Citizens To Vote On Park Purchase In April election
Huron voters will decide April 21 whether to buy the West Park Development Association pool and 12 acres for 25000. The city commission passed a resolution at a morning meeting to place the issue on the spring ballot and authorize a special bond sale. The action follows a petition with more than 90 signatures urging voter decision at the upcoming section. The same meeting also directed bids for a new disposal plant to be built on the city’s east side with bids due April 2.

The SD supreme court ruled prosecutions of prohibition violators from unlawfully obtained evidence are illegal, impacting the case and enforcement officers found illicit liquor in a corn field without regard to warrants. Earl Kenyon of Charles Mix County was arrested after liquor was allegedly found near his home.
