Wohlheter Favors Government Dam Plan for Farm Relief
Watertown candidate Vern Wohlheter, Democratic hopeful for South Dakota’s second district, endorses a Missouri River dam built by the federal government to provide permanent farm relief. He argues Congress has failed to deliver farm aid, pledges support for tariff reform, American Legion programs, labor, and a revised Federal Reserve system to aid small business. He positions the dam as a regional power source to boost markets, attract labor, and raise producer prices, urging action in Congress.
