Stabbings and Accidents Reported Near Kokaha and Gulch

Purser A J Clapham aboard the Kenohoe reported a stabbing in Kokaha where a native and a Japanese man quarreled over a woman. A native grau stabbed the Japanese in the breast. the native was arrested and the Japanese taken to hospital in critical condition. Near Lavai Gulch a reckless Hawaiian rider hit a broken wire and fell headlong. Japanese divers later recovered him after he died.
