New York, Sept. 6 Charles R Viint s steam yacht Arrow raced a measured mile on the Madison river off Irvington and set a new steam vessel record by completing 1 mile in 1 minute 32 seconds at about 45.06 mph. The Arrow, a 120 foot aluminum torpedo boat styled craft, is powered by quadruple expansion engines delivering 4800 horsepower with two water tube boilers and a 67 ton displacement.
