Death Sentence Heard In Kauai Court Terms

On Kauai Judge Hardy presided at the present term of the Seventh Circuit Court. A new point of Hawaiian law arose as damages against a father for a minor’s act. A seven year old boy’s gun shot wounded a little girl. the father faced 71000 in damages. The jury awarded 200. An appeal seems likely, as the case tests parental responsibility for minors’ torts. The term also included other cases and naturalizations completing business for the term.
