Merchants Association Recommends Governor Items
The Merchants Association met at 9 pm proposing recommendations for the Governor including Federal appropriations for a building and Pearl Harbor improvements, opening waters for communications, funding for the Federal experimental station, Hilo breakwater, and related military fortifications. They discussed dry dock for Pearl Harbor, tax adjustments on the cable ship, and promotion committee leadership plus wharfage tax use. A $10,000 disease fund exists, with subscription details and printing plans for folders in Hawaii.
