In the Circuit Court of Maui Territory at Wailuku the matter of Kabale deceased is presented for probate. A hearing is set for October 6, 1905, with notice by publication in The Evening Bulletin for three weeks. Judge A N Kepolak presides. Clerk Edmund H. Tart records the order dated September 6, 1905.
Local yachtmen contend over Regatta Day course with Walker pushing a triangular harbor route. He criticizes the Pearl Harbor course and proposes a 2.4 mile triangular path with stake buoy legs, claiming fear of a washout under the harbor plan.
A long list of property transfers and deeds entered for record on Sept 12 1905 across Oahu and Hawaii counties. Names include Evangeline da Silva, Lukinia The rea, Geo W McDougall, John Nevin, Joao Rublea, Manuel Ven, and others. Various parcels in Kul 6735 Ka palama Honolulu and Waainaku Ist Hawaii appear with prices ranging from 200 to 450 dollars. Also notes leases, streets in Pearl City Ewa Oahu and references to Oahu Railways and Land Co. Ends with notices about real estate ads and local newspaper promotions.
The August police monthly report shows district by district gambling prevalence led by Hine with thirty one cases before the police magistrate. Lihue follows at twenty seven cases, largely gambling and related offenses, with Kawathau and others reporting several incidents. Overall fines and court costs reflect enforcement across districts and a notable emphasis on gambling penalties.
