Noblitt Court Result Ends Medical Practice Charge

In Police Court Dr. W. E. Noblitt was found not guilty of practicing medicine without a license. Attorney Hankey argued the law allowed no punishment for continuing practice after license revocation, while Marshal Brown urged adherence to statute. Judge Wilcox discharged the defendant, noting the law’s clear intent and the defendant’s claim to continue practicing.

Who Gave the Anesthetic in Mardon Case Verdict

The jury ruled William J. Mardon died in Iowa on September 7, 1899 from catarrhal pneumonia induced by an anesthetic. Dr Groweman testified no anesthetic was given at his case and death followed a sore mouth and mishandled tooth extraction. Post mortem by Dr Yale cited death from catarrhal pneumonia caused by an anesthetic.

Thomas J Williams presented a farcical comedy My Tara Nxt at the Orpheum last night with actors Hupward and Brown in key roles and William Shaw W D Adams in others. Bernard Aylett, a Hawaiian youth, is in custody for allegedly stealing about 790 from the till of Naksikas hive the milk shake man at the zene Inat waht hy Aylett and several companions reportedly entered the market while the milk man worked. He allegedly targeted the drawer containing gold and silver, taking increments before returning for more, and then absconding with the remainder. Police report five to six accomplices were detained. case expected to be heard tomorrow forenoon.
