Immigrant arrivals from Yokohama to Hackford wharf detailed

The Korea Japanese Gome 10 remained at Yokohama before docking at Hackford at 9. Passengers included many Chinese students bound for Boston universities and about 10 Japanese immigrants for Hawaii. Chief Inspector Brown notes most newcomers plan to stay, disappointing Indiana expedition promoters awaiting emigres for Vancouver. Schools of Hawn Resume Work Monday

Suzuki and wife held to grand jury on Maui ceiling charge

The couple, two Maui residents, appeared before a U S Commissioner on a federal charge described as ceiling quot. Both were held for the grand jury with bond set at 1000 dollars. The wife was released on her own recognizance due to caring for a minor child.
