Ex-Queen Liliuokalani to Return Home Under Military Surveillance
Ex queen Liliuokalani will be allowed to live at her Washington Place home under parole like a prisoner of war. She will not be pardoned or have her sentence commuted, and the time of release will not be public. The government fears demonstrations by loyalists and keeps details quiet. President Dole attended the Board of Health meeting. Senator Waterhouse aided in health matters. The health board now meets in the rear room of the old legislative chamber with broad access.
