Governor Carter stated he has not had time to consider addressing the big Republican meeting at the Orpheum tomorrow evening. He cited heavy duties of office and a desire to prepare a meaningful message, noting concerns about campaign personalities and the importance of speaking only with a substantial purpose.
In Hilo on Friday Chas Notley and Jor nah Kumalae spoke at the fish market while an interruption by Olna statesman Ry an sparked a tense exchange over his record at the Hilo custom house. Saturday the Democrats asserted control with LeBiond leading and speakers including John Baker Frank Woods and Nateliohia expounding Democratic doctrine Telbune.
The Honolaru Football League releases a schedule of games for the 1904 05 season. Key matches include December 20 and January 2 with Honolulu, Punahou, and Malte teams set to clash. Malte, Punahou, and Honolulu squads practice daily as preparations begin and lineups firm up for the first game.
