Skipper’s Crew Boarded by Customs Officers in Manila

A Manila report tells how the schooner Lulu was boarded by four Custom House officers while sailing from Koolka ports. They examined cargo and offered to take a crew member to assist, claiming contraband. The captain denied, noting no goods were found and a foreign ship’s dope rumor was only a stray tale. The piece also lists hospital notes and local advertisements.
