Trade in Manila exports boosts beer and cigars shipped overseas
Shipping beer and cigars to Manila has surged since the American occupation, with ten ton lots now common. Over six to seven weeks at least 150 carloads of beer and six of cigarett es have moved through ports, mainly to the Philippines. Railroads from Seattle to Vancouver handle the trade, while Milwaukee and St Louis firms supply the beer and Richmond and New York cities send cigarettes.
