William Dean an oil worker, aged about sixty three, died Saturday night at the house of Pred Philp in Sea View. A native of Yorkshire, England, he arrived in 1870 to build theaters for the Hawaiian Hotel and later worked on government projects. He lived on a house boat in the harbor for rheumatism protection and owned homes on Nusisou avenue with about 10000 in US bonds. Funeral was Sunday afternoon at CJ Williams & Bau undertakers.
