Sabate Sentenced Three Years In Hawaii Court Case

Sabate received a three year sentence for eleven counts of unlawful detention with terms totaling three years. The court also imposed fines and hard labor penalties on Manuel Vierra and Ton Pong for related offenses. The Rosenberg clothing bill dispute with British Consul Hoare resulted in a deduction of 896, honoring a verbal order to furnish goods cheaply. The piracy case schedule and related immigration matters were continued, with trial of Gisaburo Tanbara for murder later.

Native Falls Dead After Street Incident Near Antimarker Indy

A native about 25 to 49 years old collapsed on the street near the Antimarker area in Indianapolis this forenoon. Passersby aided him, then he died. Patrol wagon took the body to the morgue. Cause of death given as valvular heart disease. The deceased resided in Kewalo.

Mr Cleghorn denies he ever authorized anyone to make any suggestion or offer a reward regarding Mr Boyd. He asserts no one has been empowered to propose any action or payment connected to the matter.

Doomed Man Has More Time to File Will Expections

Kimura sentenced to death for murder in Wal sine gets thirty days more to file his will of exceptions. Deputy Attorney General Cathcart and Thos Dillon represent the prisoner. Carter petition for probate of late Harriet Carter’s will extended two weeks. The will made in Honolulu around October 22, 1898, with estate valued at 2124.62 after legal fees of 300. An administrator with the will annexed may be appointed to release a remaining mortgage in Washington. The court may establish the lost will by oral evidence. The estate will be divided between Harriet Layman Hempstead and Flor inon Nightingale Carter, children of the deceased.

Spider Jackson's Answer and Honolulu Trade Request

In Honolulu on October 20 1908 Aoula Evening Bulletin relates Spider Jackson's reply to readers. He states he will accept a return ten round match with Mr Decke under any conditions to be arranged in Honolulu at a date agreeable to Decke for a decisive outcome. Also notes the British bark Eudora Captain Dickson arrived from Newcastle with 1780 tons of coal.
