Foreign corporations face misdemeanor charges for untimely filings

Pope Pius Issues New Encyclical Text On Church Independence

Tacoma to Australia steamship line to be formed

R A Alley returned from London where plans were made for a new transcontinental steamship line linking Tacoma Vancouver and Australian ports. The line will have headquarters in London with Australian and New Zealand wool growers among stockholders. Three ships are already chartered and a fourth may be added to serve New Zealand ports. The Mary King will likely be the first on the route undergoing overhaul in Cape Town and expected to reach Tacoma by December. Sydney Melbourne and Brisbane will be Australian ports of call with wool shipments a key aim for a Tacoma based wool mill.
