Smuggling Charge Fallout From Dorie Passenger Case

Captain Alex McGregor longtime master of the Wilder steamer Mokoli died at his home this morning. He was a member of Hawaiian Lodge BF and A M and will be buried with Masonic honors from the Masonic Temple on Sunday afternoon after a brother arrives. Undertaker HE A Williams in charge. McGregor, about 47, unmarried, leaves a mother and two brothers. He joined Wilder Steamship Company over twenty years ago as Kilanea engineer and later served aboard Mokolii.

Arrest of Japanese man Gotanda Jingu on concealment charges
