In a monarchist riot in Oporto several people were killed as rioters were dispersed by troops. The clash sparked chaos and raised tensions amid political unrest in Portugal.
The College of Hawaii regents will decide tomorrow on the bid to construct the new college building. Tenders opened last Saturday. Lord-Young Engineering Co. bid 966,126 and Fucke Engineering Co. second by twenty five dollars more while doubts about the lowest bidder surfaced but remain unconfirmed.
