Wisconsin Can Die At Eight Twenty Four

The Badger Bulletin reports a Honolulu sourced claim that the Wisconsin can die at 8 24 p m. The ship arrived today at 8 25 p m and is docked.

Bids Open For Country Club House

Bids were opened this afternoon for the Country Club home in Nuwanu valley. Charles Mateel won as lowest bidder with 960R. Seven other contractors including John Walker submitted bids. Construction to start immediately under architect Thos Gil. Plans show a 100 by 140 feet building with basement and one story, quarters, workshop, lavatories, toilets, and a large lounge for gentlemen and ladies. The main floor features a porte cochere and wide lanais with heavy rafters and an open fireplace.

Wisconsin Homeward Bound: USS Wisconsin Returns from Asiatic Station

The battleship Wisconsin steamed into Milwaukee harbor fourteen days out from Yokohama, ending a three year Asiatic service. Captain Drake plans to depart for San Francisco Monday after a brief Honolulu stop, with future dispatch expected to Bremerton or Mare Island yard and a return to Atlantic waters via the Horn.
