Axtell Wins 5000 From His Accuser In Court

In a Malicious Prosecution case heard before Judge Robinson, J. C. Axtell was awarded 6090 in damages after a forenoon verdict. Hendrick, proprietor of Honolulu Iron Fence Monument Company, had accused Axtell of embezzlement, a claim which was dismissed but led to Axtell's counter suit. The dispute centered on about 600 collected funds and alleged appropriation by Axtell while in Mendrick's employ.
