The Twenty Seventh licensed for all Hawaiian courts is Thomas McCants Stewart a Charleston born colored lawyer from South Carolina. Certified as a New York bar member by Jud ge Edward B. Thomas of Brooklyn and Justice C H Van Brunt he studied at Howard University and Princeton Theological and law courses and has missionary Liberia experience. He is 43 and recently granted Hawaii bar admission marking the year’s twenty seventh license.

An early 20th century advertisement touts Riley's Bicycle products with claims of high quality and low prices. Pali Resort to Open In Naoua Valley

Tomorrow A F Franca to open a resort on the Naoua valley property midway to the Pali near the electric station. The grounds feature tropical plants and fruit trees and light wines and beer will be served on weekdays. Plans include a first class restaurant and furnished rooms already available.
