Honolulu November 25 1909 members of the Merchants' Association received a communication from the Builders and Traders Exchange Honolulu H T ratifying a memorial to the Senate Commission and endorsing further action. Boy Receives Military Scholarship Offer From Yorkville Academy

The War Department received a letter from Kings Mountain Military Academy Yorkville South Carolina offering a free $60 scholarship to a boy from this Territory. Eligibility requires ages 14 to 17 white parentage good moral character and decent home training. Recipient bears only incidental expenses not to exceed 78 per year including uniform books and laundry. Applications are to be made to the Superintendent of Public Instruction Handwls who does not guarantee selection or responsibility.

Court denies contempt motion over governor orders

Austin officer Elvin, acting under governor’s orders, blocked entry to the Auditor’s office.
