A crowded Saturday show at the Chinese theater featured Lo Pat on rope and other feats praised for endurance and novelty. The audience was predominantly white, with ticket prices ranging from 10 to 20 cents and special attractions promised on select evenings to encourage white attendance.
A Honolulu coroner jury found Shik Yok died from stab wounds inflicted by Wong Took in Honolulu in 1895. The inquest, held before Coroner H. R. Hitchcock, listed jurors Chang Chan Wong Wo Foy Willian ty Croward Alang Ub Akwai Ah On and recorded the verdict on November 12.
