Reports from San Francisco on November 6 claim Peking has fallen and the royal household may be implicated by death by own action. Cablegrams received today say the edict named Shang Shao Tsen as commander of troops at Lanchau to move along the Yangtse Kiang, though the reports remain unverified.
Five hundred men will be employed by Wednesday morning to clean up the city. Today about 100 were at headquarters in the judiciary building.
