Prize Drill of the N G H Regimental Orders

Mananense Delayed By Engine Trouble After San Francisco Call

The Mananense failed to sail Saturday afternoon for Manila with the Tartar and New Port after an accident crippled its condensing plant near San Francisco. Water produced on the voyage was unfit for drinking and troops suffered aboard. The ship diverted to gather stragglers near Sillymon lsft, aided by a provost party of about twenty men.

Columbia to sail for Mediterranean and British waters

New York October 26 It is stated that the victorious cap defender Columbia will join regular circuit races in the Mediterranean and British waters. Soldiers and fire officers clash in uptown saloon fight

Six soldiers of the 28th Regiment departing for the Philippines and seven fire officers under Captain Hollain tusse fought in an uptown saloon early Saturday. Police intervened as bottles were consumed in the dark brawl. The soldi ers were jailed but released after Captain Holt suffered a leg bite and officers were exhausted.
