Private sugar stock sales reported yesterday

Big private purchases of sugar stock were made. Senator J A McCandless bought 140 shares of Pioneer Mill at 160 dollars. Total 800 shares changed hands at 160. A block of 46 shares of assoma ble Oaha, 35 paid, sold at 50. Twenty five shares of Honokaa traded at 200. Five shares of People's Ive Company sold at 160.

Prospectors from Warrimoo Head for Australian Klondike Trail

Twenty Klondikera from Australia travel as through passengers on the Warrimoo. They are miners, hardy and determined, mostly British with Amperivane, German and French members. They plan to brave winter and push into the snows until the trail opens in April.

Foul Murder at Lahaina in Japanese Cutting Tragedy

A Japanese laborer Yoshida killed a woman he lived with in Lahaina with a jack knife during Emperor birthday celebrations. The attack occurred at dawn as the couple, intoxicated, argued and culminated in multiple stab wounds to the throat breast and arms. A jury convened with Deputy Sheriff Omated presiding. Yoshida was arrested and charged with murder. Witnesses describe premeditation with the weapon wrapped to prevent discovery.
