Plea of Army Transport Ships Arrive With Philippine Troops

United States soldiers aboard three transports Newport Mananense and Tartar arrive in port, en route to the Philippines. The Newport carries 462 soldiers and 32 officers with medical and burial corps. officers include Inspector General Burlington and Major Ports. The Tartar carries first and second battalions of the 28th Regiment U S Volunteers, with Captains Pylone and Reinhardt among the officers. The Manananese carries additional officers and men, with Camp Meade noted for post-removal muster. command includes Lieut Avl Webb and Major Huntwe Leggett among senior staff.
