The Hawaiian RiMe Association met with 48 members reorganized under new bylaws and National affiliation. Officers elected include J G Rothwell as president and Col J H Flaher as executive. Col J W Jones offered rifle use, and federal support for rifles and ammunition was noted. A detailed report on modern rifle shooting attributed improvements to grip and firing method, experiments at Sea Girt, wind and temperature effects, and methods to reduce misfires and varying shots.

Attorney Enos Vincent of Pala Maui argued before the Governor for a county court house to serve Paia and surrounding districts. He noted Mahawao is farther from the center but Pala has many residents and direct routes to Wailuku. He pressed that the appropriation for a court house near Pala would ease travel for citizens and align with county needs.
