The House met yesterday after noon for the six months' salaries bill then adjourned after a resolution to adjourn in memory of Representative Kumatae’s brother. In Hilo a Decoration Day program memorializes old soldiers with sermons, church services, and a ceremony at the Foreign Church and Halls Church led by Judge G F Little. The program features the Hilo Band, the Lunt Salute, and a choir, with graves to be decorated Saturday afternoon.
The Hawaiian Knights of P held memorial services at their hall on King Street near the depot this forenoon with a very full attendance. Afterward a committee visited Kawatabao burying grounds to decorate graves of members’ families who have died recently.
