Police Court Minutes Report Larceny Case and Fines

The Police Court opened with Judge Perry presiding over Makanahao charged with larceny of 10 from Hawaiian Tramways. Verdict guilty, six months hard labor, £5 fine and $1.50 costs. Tom Bing and Wing Chow fined $50 each for pakapio tickets. W Williams charged with $12.30 larceny. trial ongoing at press time.

Novel sight at Hopper's mill seals deck timber plan

A Bellerly reporter saw councilman a blacksmith and others at Hopper's planing mill selecting Julius Asche for a timber task. They chose 6x10 inch by 4 foot Oregon pine sticks to serve as deck timbers for the steamer Kauai, to be altered and refitted soon.

Delay in The Time lifts Monday issue due to illustration shortage

The Time will be issued Monday next instead of today owing to editor’s inability to secure suitable illustrations for the front page. The note invites public ideas for drawings, offering payment and promising return of unused sketches.
