The Evening Bulletin lists Wm. G. Irwin as President and Manager with Claus Spreckels as Vice-president Ifford as Secretary and Treasurer and C Panter as Auditor and Luger as Fectors in the company’s officer roster.
The Police Court opened with Judge Perry presiding over Makanahao charged with larceny of 10 from Hawaiian Tramways. Verdict guilty, six months hard labor, £5 fine and $1.50 costs. Tom Bing and Wing Chow fined $50 each for pakapio tickets. W Williams charged with $12.30 larceny. trial ongoing at press time.
A Bellerly reporter saw councilman a blacksmith and others at Hopper's planing mill selecting Julius Asche for a timber task. They chose 6x10 inch by 4 foot Oregon pine sticks to serve as deck timbers for the steamer Kauai, to be altered and refitted soon.
