New York on May 2 E P Weston a seventy year old pedestrian arrived in New York completing a long walk from Los Angeles in seventy seven days. Weston began the journey July 14 covering 3899 miles with a record of 121 miles in one stretch in 1879 and a Portland Maine to Chicago trek in 1907 lasting twenty nine days.
