Decision on merger wall street expects the law to be amended
New York March 1 The Northern Securities decision proves adverse to the merger and the Hoch market rallies as short covering and removal of manpence drive gains. The Supreme Court's action reshapes railroad and industrial monopoly debates and signals possible Sherman anti trust law amendments. Improved iron and steel demand, easing money markets, and anticipated spring activity drive a cautious but hopeful outlook for 1904.
