City of Columbia to China on regular Hongkong run
The City of Columbia, now owned by Captain Harry Evans, will operate as a regular liner between this port and Hongkong. Twenty men are at work preparing the vessel for an initial Hongkong voyage expected in about three weeks. The ship will have yards fitted and use steam to reach within a short distance of the China coast before entering Hongkong, following the plan of the old Velocity service between Honolulu and China.

Mrs Kahale Nolte wife of H J Nolte died shortly before two oclock this afternoon at Queen s Hospital after a four or five day illness. She was about 61 and renowned in Hawaiian religious and charitable work. A loving daughter Miss Frederika Nolte survives and funeral arrangements are not yet announced.
