Contest Seethes in Islands Vote Count For Chaperone
More than seventy thousand votes were cast in the Hilletin' Popular Voting Contest across districts including Honolulu. The second count kept the first tally intact with candidates outside the top ranks showing strength, notably Miss Pangolinan and Miss Johnson, while Mrs Siemson and Mrs Zeuge trail in Hawaii. Voters are urged to keep campaigning, with subscriptions to the Evening Bulletin yielding varying vote totals, and nominations remaining open through the contest.
