Purnee Matthews a seaman and later purser on the Luter Island steamer Mouna Loa died this morning at Love's Cottage. His remains were laid to rest this afternoon by Hawaiian Lodge of Manaas, with Ed A Williams the undertaker in charge. Matthews was well connected to New Jersey families and remembered by many friends.
