Judge Denies Motion for Judgment Notwithstanding Verdict
In Brown v Spreckels, Judge De Holt denied the defendant’s motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict. The motion argued Hawaiian Government entitlement to a portion of the disputed riparian premises and claimed jury failure on instruction 17. An exception was noted by Mr Ballon, and taxation of costs was continued by consent of both parties.
