Boy Hurt When Saddle Breaks On Pony Ride

Shortly before two o clock today lad Tommy Matthews rode a pony on Fort and Hotel streets when the saddle broke and he was thrown from the pony. He fell on the crossing before Benson Smith and Co. drugstore and was carried inside where aid was given. He is feared to have internal injuries. King Broad Hotel Street.

Death of Mrs Schmidt Beloved Isle Resident Passes Away

Mrs Mary Ron Bechmidt wife of Senator H W Scheidt died at the family residence on Here tania street around noon after a short illness. She was born Jan 17 1855 in Woolwich England came to the islands as a child and married Mr Schmidt Oct 20 1874. Survived by seven children two sisters and four brothers. Funeral at 3 p m tomorrow from the residence with H H Wile in charge. Mrs Schmidt was active in benevolence and charity work.
