Bicycle Exhibit Fails to Draw Crowds in Honolulu

A bicycle show at Hiilee Meenen Park drew only about twenty five attendees during an hour and a half, blamed on insufficient advertising. Exhibits featured E. O. Hall & Sons with Columbia, Ramblers and Stearns wheels, including the 1897 models and a Rambler racing tandem. Despite attractive displays and decorative lighting, organizers learned that printer's ink is essential to draw a crowd.

The Japanese Bazaar Attracts Prospective Attendees

The Mazaar project near Queen Kimi tin is advancing with preparations. Booths will feature Japanese articles a tou bon ne and novelties not sold locally before. Admission is free for May events with refunds offered for unused play tickets to G F Prukawa or A Ovawa at Boweou Smith AO.

Monte Cristo Society Celebrates Varin Treaty Anniversary

Dames H and Bartholomew of Monte Cristo Washington attended a St Paul celebration marking the Varin treaty anniversary of 1703. Bartholomew, member of the Society of Colonial Wars, oversaw a display recalling a copper wire and oaken yarn craft from the old fishmarket. Mrs Bartholomew left to fetch a detail cable and did not return. the plant was sold by the Marshal. Bartholomew later contacted a Washington State editor and is reportedly pursuing industry success.

District Court D Baker Pleads Not Guilty in Batter Trial

In district court this morning D Baker pleaded not guilty to battering his wife and his trial was postponed. Seven Chinese gamblers were fined $10 each plus costs and several others were discharged. D Mahoula and Keshi were fined $2 each with costs on guilty pleas of obstructing the sidewalk owners.
