Jury Drawn In Jones Murder Trial Before Judge Robinson
Special venire for Mitty and a largely present panel were drawn as the Jones murder case moved toward trial. Several prospective jurors were excused for cause amid questions of bias and knowledge of the case, while others admitted opinions formed from newspaper reports. A further venire may be issued, with the trial date unsettled as officials seek an impartial panel. The piece also notes a concurrent Poultry Show event at the World’s Fair.
