Hawaiian Rowing Association Holds Annual Meeting

The Hawaiian Rowing Association met at Healani Boat House with A G M Robertson presiding. Officers elected include A G M Robertson president, A V Gear vice president, J S Low secretary and treasurer. A regatta committee led by KE Wall was formed to arrange the next championship events and cap gift for winning crews. The third Saturday in September was set as annual regatta day with an extended program to be planned.

Missionary Father Emmeran of Hana Prepares For Europe

Father Emmeran Rey of Notre Dame des Victoires parish, Hanaiaulu, Kauai, leaves Friday for New York en route to Havre France. He will stay at the mother house in Paris then visit his aged mother in Westphalia Germany before returning to Hawaii. He has spent 25 years in Hawaiian missions aiding Portuguese, Kanake, German, French and Spanish speakers and believes Kanakas may become Christians with time. The Call, June 16.

Australians Dominate Gloucestershire in English Test Match

In a London cricket clash, Australia defeats Gloucestershire by an innings and 91 runs after a dominant first innings of 882. Donnan scored 87, Gregory 64, while W G Grace led England with three wickets for 50 runs as Trumble and Giffen impressed with six and three wickets respectively.

Prom Chub At the San Francisco Press Club Event

Superior Judge J C B Hebbard addressed Kavakamaki the Hawaiian fighter at the San Pravekco Press Club event. The speech ended with a poem while the skull of the islander, inscribed Kanakamulu Hawaiian Warrior Died in Battle 1795, was shown. The Press Club presented the artifact on June 6 1806 as Hawaiian airs by a quartet drew applause.

Relay teams chosen by Honolulu Athletic Club

A special meeting of the Honolulu Athletic Club last evening selected two relay teams for the morning of the fourth. Team 1 is Geo Angus as captain with Cawon Lithman Silva and Breda. Team 2 is H A Giles as captain with Johnson Sylvester Bondaris 3K A Dexter Martin King Belmont and Chapman.
