Public Hearing Sparks Protests Over Wigwam Saloon
At a Life for License Commission session in 1907, protesters led by W C Pexpouk condemned alleged child endangerment connected to a Wigwam saloon license contested by Judge Perry. Testimony from locals, including Perry, Ryder, and residents of Punchhowl, described minors inside the saloon and refusals to serve drunken patrons while the board debated procedural rights and cross examination.
