Japanese Blackmail Attempt Reported at City Police Station
A Japanese man described as Night by name entered a pollen station at about 6 AM seeking police protection. He said Sano, another Japanese man, tried to force him to accompany him after midnight, then again later. Four suspects, Sit ty, Bano, Kodana and Yamamoto, assaulted him and demanded ransom between 50 and 100 dollars. Night escaped, informed police, who arrested the two men found waiting on Nauwau Street. Yamamoto was later secured.
