Ceremonies for the opening of the new ditch on the island of Hawaii are planned for July 1 with a large gathering of plantation managers and island leaders. Notable attendees include W G Irwin and Faxon Miahop of Honolulu, plus H F Lewis and party traveling around the island.
At eight o clock last evening the Royal Mausoleum saw the removal of royal bodies to their final resting place in a ceremony attended by the Royal family and a few friends. Hawaiian melodies were chanted during the transfer as torches lit the path for caskets borne along. John F. Colburn led the arrangements for Prince Kablo and the Kaplolan Estate with Col. Curthy Taukea representing Her Majesty Queen Liliuokalani, ex Governor Cleg horn and Campbell overseeing Territory of Hawaii duties. Continued on Page 8.
Mrs Aliee Wright who was living in Honolulu with her father Chief Justice Beatty died after returning home to 2400 October street. The San Francisco paper says Beatty, to end at the family residence, died soon after. Wright had traveled with her father to Hawaii seeking health and returned only days ago.
Washington June 25 Congress agreed to place a fund of 1 000 000 at President Tafts disposal pending legislative authorization. Senator Flint of California criticized the Southern Pacific bank for blocking a flood relief measure as the government faced reimbursement delays.
Leavenworth Kansas report states General Fred Funston has rallied and doctors at his bedside announce he is out of immediate danger after a period of illness and observation.
San Francisco June 25 considerable money is being wagered on the fight with odds ten to six in favor of Jeffries.
