President Wilder convened the Senate at 10 a.m. with Chaplain Peek opening the session as petitions from clan settlers were introduced and the National Guard received the tenth pay while actions on appropriation bills were deferred.
The Representatives debated the Olan district petition seeking reduction of road reserve from 300 to 150 feet and land sale terms for settlers. They discussed amendments to the Land Bill, patent terms, and preservation of Volcano road scenery, with hearings on related committee reports and postponements noted.
With no further business on hand the Senate adjourned to meet again Wednesday at 10 in the morning.
