The Hawaii Jockey Club begins its annual meeting at 10 am with two bicycle and seven running events on day one and six races on day two including wheelmen events. Many horse-race entrants have withdrawn citing track condition and rising purses, while wheelmen criticize costs and training effort. Entries closed 2 pm Tuesday and are listed for events such as Half-wire dash, One-mile handicap, and several Trotting and Running purses, with participants named from Shenandoah Stables and local clubs.
Race card lists bicycle events and horse races on June 12 with purses from 20 to 200 dollars.
