News from San Juan del Sur says William Pittham, an American engineer who laid and handled mines for Estrada’s insurgents at Bluefields, was wounded and tortured by the Madriz army. He has reportedly been ordered before a court comprised of Madriz officers.
Washington June 4 The State Department was informed of the capture of a man by engineer Pipe Gereemmase totes of Micaracua. Cable messages were forwarded to the Madriz government demanding fair treatment for the man.
